Niniola Robbed In South Africa Nigerian singer, Niniola, was robbed, on Wednesday night, at a popular fast food restaurant in Sandton, Sowetanlive reports. Niniola who was in South Africa on holiday was having a meal with two other friends when they were attacked by robbers at McDonald’s restaurant on Grayston drive. According to an eyewitness, Niniola’s bag and cell phone were taken while two of her friends were robbed of jewellery and cash. Sandton police spokesman, Captain Granville Meyer, confirmed that a case of robbery was opened by Niniola’s friend on Wednesday night. Meyer said the complainant alleged that he came from Sandton City after shopping and went to McDonald’s, where they were robbed by three men. “Jewellery and cash to an estimated value of R300000 was taken,” Meyer added.

A 25-year-old farmer, Wundetenan Juna on Tuesday was sentenced to three years in prison for raping an eight-year-old girl. Juna was sentenced by an Upper Area Court sitting in Kasuwan Nama, Jos. Earlier, the prosecutor, Mr O.S Ocho told the court that the case was reported on Feb. 2, at the Mangu Divisional police headquarters and transferred to the State’s Criminal Investigative Department for further investigation. According to him, the convict, a resident of Sabon Barki Gindiri, in Mangu lured the little girl with N20 into an uncompleted building and raped her. Ocho said that during a medical investigation, some bruises were found on the private part of the victim. The prosecutor added that the offence contravened section 285 of the Penal Code. The suspect pleaded guilty to the one-count charge of rape, and begged the court for leniency. The presiding judge, Yahaya Mohammed, in his ruling sentenced Juna to three years imprisonment without any option of fine. He said the punishment w
